General Competition Info

The 2007 league was a huge success, with newcomers to the sport enjoying the competitions and coming back for more. The season culminated in the NI squad competing at the World Championships in Mundaka & Bakio, Spain and both Chris Hobson and Kevin Quinn coming home World Champions. The Squad rejoiced achieving the runner's up medal against 9 countries. We still aim to build on our successes and want to encourage as many paddlers as possible to enter our competitions. This year’s comps are the qualifying events for the 2008 Home Internationals.

The 2007 League was sponsored by Mega Kayaks (surfkayaks.com), who has not only provided us with demo boats for the club, but also supply the prizes for the overall winners of each class in the league.
